Corrections and evidence packs

How to get the evidence pack for your site, dispute a finding in the State of Consent Compliance index, and have it re-crawled.

What you can ask for

  • Your evidence pack. The screenshots, request list, cookies and timestamps behind every flag recorded against your domain. Free, to anyone who can show they speak for the site.
  • A re-crawl. If the observation was a crawl error — a failed banner recipe, the wrong country, a transient third party — or if you have since fixed it.
  • A correction to a published edition. Applied in place with a dated note. The original stays in version control; we do not quietly delete things.

How it works

  1. Email us at support@tagpatrol.app from an address at the domain in question, or from a published privacy or DPO contact for it. Say which domain and which finding.
  2. We send the evidence pack for that domain.
  3. We re-crawl within 5 working days if you tell us the finding is wrong or has been fixed.
  4. If the finding does not reproduce, the published report and CSV are amended with a dated correction note. If it does reproduce, we send you what we saw and say so.

Before publication

Any site named in the prose of a report receives its evidence pack by email to its published privacy or DPO contact at least 10 working days before publication, with an invitation to correct or comment. That is the only unsolicited email we send to sites in the sample — the index is never used as a sales list.

What we will not do

  • Remove a domain from the dataset because the result is unflattering. The data release would stop being reproducible.
  • Change a score because a site is, or becomes, a customer. Customer status has no effect on scoring, naming or timing.
  • State that any site is in breach of any law. We report what a browser observed; the legal question needs facts a crawl cannot see.

Sites that fix an issue after publication are marked remediated in the next edition rather than deleted, so the history stays honest.
